Mediation and family dispute resolution (the term applied to mediation by the Family Law Act) are our special area of expertise. Our partner Randal Binnie is a nationally accredited mediator under the National Mediator Standards of accreditation, a registered family dispute resolutions practitioner and Queensland Law Society Accredited Family Law Specialist. In parenting matters family dispute resolution must be attempted (in most cases) before an application can be brought into court.

I was extremely fortunate that my new partner had identified Family Lawyers and Mediation Services as one of my legal... choices to assist in gaining access to my children. I was having no luck mediating with the mother of my children independently and knew I required help. After my initial appointment, I knew immediately that Mark and his team were the ones to select. Marks friendly demeanor and in-depth knowledge of not only the Family Law legislation but also his ability to select the ‘best way approach’ to any given situation were second to none. Many times throughout the process I was frustrated and I guess anxiety also played a part, I mean this was about me gaining access to my children after all. At every step of the way Mark and his team provided me the support and confidence I needed to see this through. You hear the nightmare stories of how this process will cost you your life’s savings (and sanity) but I can honestly say that Mark explored all options prior to Court and in my case this approach worked (eventually agreeing on a Consent Order).
